I received my BA in Psychology from Skidmore College in NY in 1990. During college, I worked closely with eating disorder and substance abuse patients at Silver Hill Psychiatric Hospital in Connecticut.

I received my MA and PsyD in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology in 1994. After graduate school, I completed my post doctorate hours in a variety of clinical settings including private practice, nursing home, HMO mental health clinic and a school for seriously emotionally disturbed adolescents.

My heart has a special place for those who are battling eating disorders.  The desire to be thin, to look a certain way, or the use of food as a coping mechanism, are merely symptoms of much deeper emotional issues. Through group, individual and family counseling, this battle can be won and does not have to plague you for the rest of your life.

Soon after graduate school, I married and took time to raise my family.  I also had the opportunity to do biblical counseling through my churches in Chino Hills, CA and Raleigh, NC.  I naturally found myself integrating a family systems and psychodynamic model with Christ-centered counseling.

After moving to Colorado in 2004, I returned to my passion for counseling and successfully completed the Colorado state licensing exam (CO State License Number 2910).  I am currently pursuing my certification as an EMDR therapist.  Now in private practice in Westminster, I love working with adolescents and adults with all types of emotional issues. I live in Broomfield with my husband and two children.

I received my BA in Child and Family Development from the University of Georgia in 2007. During college, I volunteered for Young Life where I worked with teenagers. My program at the University of Georgia gave me the experiences and opportunities that sparked my initial interest in becoming a counselor.

I am currently studying at Denver Seminary, where I will receive my MA in 2012. I have gained valuable knowledge about counseling people of all ages with a range of issues. I am passionate about helping people navigate difficult issues, walking along side of those who need assistance through the journey of life. I am specifically interested in working with youth and their families, as I have much experience in working with individuals facing this difficult stage of life.

After completing my MA, I plan on working towards licensure and building a practice. In my free time I enjoy skiing, reading, and spending time with my friends in Boulder, CO.

I received my BA in Psychology and Speech Pathology from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2008. I am currently in the process of getting my Masters in Clinical Counseling from Denver Seminary with the intent to graduate in 2012. After graduating with my Masters, I will be working towards licensure for the next few years.

I have been interning at an inpatient residential unit for the past year, working with clients who experience severe mental illness and psychotic tendencies. My hope is to gain exposure to various clients with the intention of finding my niche in the counseling field.

Through various clinical settings and exposure to an array of clients so early in my career, I have grown to appreciate the dynamics of couples & family counseling as well as those working towards recovery from addiction.

I naturally lean towards an eclectic form of therapy and try to focus specifically on the unique needs of each client. I love working with older teens and adults as they discover the paths towards true and thorough healing. I currently live in Boulder with friends from my church body who have become my family.
